A joyful, easy-drinking red made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Expect ripe cherries, juicy plums, fresh roses and a gentle kick of spice. It’s aged for around 12 months, part in steel and part in big old barrels to keep things fresh, balanced and quietly complex. Bright acidity, soft tannins, and plenty of fruit. A great all-rounder.
This is the house red made by San Patrignano - a non-profit community in northern Italy that supports people overcoming drug dependency and social exclusion. Since 1978 over 26,000 people have come through the programme. Today, it supports around 1,000 residents a year including referrals from the UK, offering rehabilitation, purpose and the chance to rebuild a life. Winemaking is one of many skills taught as part of the process.
